Maybe Sans should have been more clear, but he hadn't exactly been in the right frame of mind with the way the wrongness permeated the whole adventure and oozed right through the screen. He'd have gone entirely abstract if it wouldn't have meant leaving Papyrus alone. Of course, he hasn't done much of use being there; maybe it would have gone better if he hadn't been involved.
