Physically he's still improving, even if mentally he's got something else to worry about.]
[Papyrus startles at the noise, and visibly checks Sans over for signs of stress or pain. That exhaustion is noted, and the lean against the doorway. But at least he's not wobbling, and the mysterious soul sounds aren't audible from the counter.]
...Hey! You're already back. Short notice, I'm throwing a "welcome back from surprise news" party, for you. [It's more Sans-favored food than Papyrus usually touches at once handling groceries, let alone serving. He's concerned, for all the health side of the bill hasn't mentioned any concerns yet, so he's giving a little leeway.]
Great, I love parties. [Sort of. He likes going to parties he can leave whenever he wants, specifically. But parties that are just him and Papyrus where Sans gets to eat a lot of junk food are great no matter what.] Took a shortcut back. It worked out okay.

[And Sans surely has him listed as his emergency contact, in the case that he'd fainted while still at the doctor's - which was something of a concern, Papyrus can privately admit to himself. What if Sans had mis-aimed the shortcut and wound up somewhere else, though...? At least the tracker probably could have sent out an alert, if it ever noticed there was a problem.]
Anyway, not that you ever need to, but brace yourself for terrible food! I'm waiving all culinary advice today. [Which is probably not a sign of the end of the world, but who knows.]

Yeah, unless you don't want to watch this movie I found. [Papyrus is pulling out several of the stops, including another emergency stash entertainment option. They can think about thinking about mystery soul problems later.]
[If Papyrus is providing all these distractions, Sans is absolutely going to take them.] Guess I've gotta now, huh? [He walks back to the couch to drop himself into his usual spot. Maybe he'll get another nap in before he has to answer any difficult questions from anyone about his whole soul thing.]
