I'll match whatever style you start with. I prefer to use [brackets] with some joking commentary and thought process descriptions.

[Sans gets a mischievous glint in his eyesockets.]

okay, i'll lead the way.

[He lets his basket slide down to his elbow as he grabs his brother and father's hands. Everything goes black for a moment and they're suddenly on the roof.]

[Well, he was sure to take his basket by the handle, free hand moving so try and keep a laugh from getting out.

OH, he had an idea of what was coming and-

Yep.

The roof area they were on was rather flat, and there was a type of railing as if it were actually meant for people to come up here. The sky above filled with stars and rather clear of clouds. A lovely night, really.]

Ugh?!? Give me a little warning next time!

[Despite his complaints, Papyrus is grinning at how quickly that took them. He puts his load of baskets down off to the side.]

Uh, Sans, the other Sans isn't likely to do the same thing, and land on any of the food, is he? Do you two have specific spots you do that to?

heh. okay, i'll warn you next time.

[He sets down his basket]

i dunno, he might?

look i am lazy and play two characters that are at this thing so whoop

[There were already a few baskets set down where Papyrus set his, some sign that his double had likely been up here as well. Where was he, you might ask?

Probably gone back down to see where his older brother and father were at the moment. They'd all probably be up here eventually.]

If he has control over it he will most likely appear near the entrance to get up here. Just keep the food away from that area?

[Papyrus glares at Sans and gestures at the other baskets.]

See these? This is where I would think to put baskets, so of course it's where Papyrus put his load!

It is so strange talking about myself like that.

yeah, but, haven't you heard of chaos theory?

just because i can predict what he might do, doesn't mean he'll do it.

[Okay, that wasn't quite what Chaos Theory was, but still]

[Affectionate tapping of fingers over Sans's skull -Papyrus got one, too. Along with a chuckle because really?-. Gaster slipped from the two and set his own basket down.

Well, someone had already brought a few blankets up here. Picking one up just to look over it.]

You don't need to be 100% sure, you can just tell me what seems likely!

[He subsides a little at the skull tapping, smiling fondly at it, and turns to watch Gaster walk away.]

Oh! Those should be for laying out? So we don't have to sit on the roof itself.

well, even if it does seem likely, there's still a chance that it won't happen.

[Sans points to a corner of the roof.]

but, he'll probably end up there.

Away from the food.

[One of the blankets easily held over an arm, there were a few of them in various color patterns. Could nearly cover the entire space really.

How'd this many even get found in the period of time for this? Who knows.]

Very thoughtful, and they seem soft.

We should draw little chalk circles for you two. Establish consistent places for you to pop into.

[The Papyri did have the idea a few days before they actually made it happen. Plenty of opportunity to search for blankets from all over the house.

...There might be a few rooms with empty beds right now. But probably not rooms that were visibly in use.]

The better to counteract the hardness of the rooftop!

Perhaps we should start spreading a few out, less work to be done for when the others joins us.

[Papyrus elbows Sans after Gaster's suggestion.]

That's right, no napping on the blankets until after we get them spread out!

...You can after that, if you really want.

i'll nap after dinner, then.

[He lazily winks at his brother.]

Then grab one and we'll start.

The others are likely busy getting the telescope so it can be gotten here safely.

[Blanket, anyone?]

And we'll all make fun of you when your snoozing makes you miss the stars.

[Blanket, of course! Papyrus reaches for one, and offers a corner to the air between Sans and Gaster.]

It's easier to spread them out if two or three people work together!

He grabs one of the corners of the blanket.]

[Gaster takes the other corner, this was apparently one of the more sizable ones. No reason to leave it between his two boys.

OF course that just means he's left to softly titter.]

[He is. No way would the Papyri let a Sans sleep through this.

And with just a couple of steps out, this blanket spreads to cover a large area. Papyrus tries to stretch his arms to hold out two corners at once, but he's not really tall enough to pull it off.]
