FV Open RP post
This is a catch-all thread for
fabulae_victoriana shenanigames!
I'll match whatever style you start with. I prefer to use [brackets] with some joking commentary and thought process descriptions.

[He gestures to the sky. His own eyelights practically becoming stars themselves]
they're endless! i don't think i could even begin to wrap my head around how many there are.
no subject
It's not like the caves! They're so much smaller. And, I think, I can't see some of them when I look right at them? Are they shy...?
no subject
they're not actually small, they're huge, and millions of miles away.
so i guess they are kinda shy.
no subject
[Papyrus continues slightly moving his head around, trying to figure out the optical illusion that makes some of them disappear sometimes. There's no reason for them to be so shy, he just wants to see something of what Sans is seeing in them.]
[While Sans is still sparkling and admiring them, Papyrus steps in behind the telescope and crouches down to look into it. He gasps.]
There's even more tiny ones between the ones we can see!
no subject
[He laughs.]
i know.
[He's so excited, you have no idea.]
no subject
What if there's even more between those ones? How far does space go???
[Papyrus pulls just a little back from the telescope, glancing up where it's pointed, then back in the lens, to compare how improves the view.]

But...
[Papyrus pulls away from the telescope to stare at his brother for any signs that he's joking.]
That's too big!
no subject
it goes on forever, and keeps going after that.
[No joking here.]
no subject
[Papyrus looks directly up, so the sky fills his vision.]
No wonder you love this stuff.
no subject
no wonder.
you probably think i'm a big nerd.
no subject
[Papyrus looks down from the stars to check on Sans and his expression. That remark sounded less enthusiastic than a minute ago.]
no subject
[Papyrus was right, he wasn't sounding as enthusiastic.]
no subject
[He backs up from the telescope, getting slightly worried.]
Did you want this back? I saw enough for now!
no subject
oh yeah, i did say you could borrow them. uh, so what do you think of them?
[...]
heh. i don't wanna hog it.
no subject
[Papyrus heads to the railing and leans against it, so he can see Sans and very clearly show that he's not using the telescope right now. It's wide open, beckoning to short skeletons everywhere.]
They weren't like I thought they'd be! I thought they would be all boring science stuff. And, they were. But one was a murder mystery too!
[Papyrus grabbed Sans' copy of The Naked Sun.]
It wasn't a very happy book, Sans.
no subject
i could find you one that better suits your tastes?
no subject
[Plus, and this is his real motivation, science fiction gives him a little more insight into the mysteries of his brother.]
That might be best! I enjoyed the mystery part of it. I tried to solve it as the characters did. But...
no subject
[He rubbed his chin in contemplation.]
though i'm not at all surprised you enjoyed the mystery part...
but?
no subject
[But not necessarily more interesting. Papyrus bounces with a little residual excitement as he recounts his opinions of it.]

no subject
[If he's thinking poorly of himself for doing badly at solving a puzzle, it's not the puzzle in the books, but the puzzle of getting Sans out of his funk. Maybe Papyrus should be reading some psychology books instead.]
no subject
you don't let these things bother you.
